Welcome to the webpage of Assistant Professor Melinda Lohmann Melinda Lohmann is an Assistant Professor for Business Law with a focus on Information Law. She researches and teaches in the areas of Private Law as well as Technology and Innovation Law. She is passionate about technology, especially self-driving cars, robots and Artificial Intelligence, and investigates both how the law should deal with technological innovations as well as how technology changes the legal market. Melinda Lohmann is Director of the Research Center for Information Law at the University of St.Gallen (FIR-HSG) and heads various research projects at the interface between technology and law. She is an Associate Researcher at the Robotics and Biology Laboratory of the Technical University of Berlin at the Institute for Technical Informatics and Microelectronics and a scientific adviser to the Swiss robot manufacturer F&P Personal Robotics. She is a member of the Extended Executive Board of the Swiss LegalTech Association (SLTA) and Co-Head of the SLTA Chapter Eastern Switzerland.
